New rights under compulsory third party (CTP) insurance

The ACT has a new CTP scheme. Under the new law, if you are injured in a motor accident in the ACT then you may be entitled to early payment of up to $5,000 of your medical expenses. To access this early payment it is important that the accident is reported to police if police do not attend the scene of the accident.

You will need to provide a motor accident notification form (MANF) and a motor accident medical report (MAMR) to the CTP insurer of the driver mainly at fault within 28 days of the accident.
