The ACT Goverment has advised that a switch in traffic arrangements will occur on John Gorton Drive in July 2014. Features of this third traffic switch include the following:
- Permanently closing Uriarra Road from Swallowtail Road to the entrance of Stromlo Forest Park.
- Opening of the link road (Opperman Ave) between John Gorton Drive and Uriarra Road at Stromlo Forest Park.
- Removal of the temporary detour through Wright via Steve Irwin Avenue and Banjo Patterson Avenue.
