The upgrade will focus on improving the amenity and character, landscape, pedestrian connections and safety of Trenerry Square and Brierly Street. These works are part of a long-term plan to revitalise public places, based on the Weston Group Centre Master Plan.
The government will be holding community engagement events at Trenerry Square and inside Cooleman Court at the following times:
- Friday 3 June 2016, 3.30 pm to 6 pm
- Saturday 4 June 2016, 10.30 am to 1 pm
Thursday 9 June 2016, 10.30 am to 12.30 pm
The government is also holding some stakeholder workshops next week at the following times:
Weston Creek Community Centre, Meeting Room 1, Parkinson Street, Weston Creek, ACT 2611
- Monday 6 June, 9 am to 11 am
- Tuesday 7 June, 9 am to 11 am

Yes you are right – this matter has dragged on since the Master Plan for the Weston Group Centre was released in December 2014.
Prior to this there were working groups and consultations with the community.
Council would hope that the consultations don’t go back to the start again!
