During our July Public Meeting we were asked about the Environmental Impact Consultation for the Weston Woden Animal Hospital development. Canberra Town Planning has made a significant effort to ensure the Weston Creek Community is engaged and we encourage interested residents to participate in a constructive manner.
The details are now available, and in addition to the drop-in consultation session at the Community Centre on 17 August between 5.30-7.00 pm (see copy of published notice below), Council has received the following invitation to the on-line conversation about the draft Environmental Impact Statement for the Weston Woden Animal Hospital development proposed for the existing veterinary facility on Dickson Drive, Holder. the event will be held on Wed 24/08/2022 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM. Details of how to log on are:

The Weston Woden Animal Hospital have provided a range of veterinary services to the public for the last 30 years. The new facilities will replace and expand on the existing ‘temporary’ facilities already on site that were built following the 2003 Canberra bushfires. The block is zoned Community Facilities that contains restrictions on Veterinary Hospital uses, triggering an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and associated public consultation. Currently the project is in the Draft EIS Stage of the approval process, having just received the scoping document for the Authority.

We will include in the discussion the scoping document summary, our initial findings of the assessment and initial concept drawings of the buildings, by Judd Studio.
