During December 2006 and February 2007, many parts of Canberra experienced major flooding during high intensity storms. Chapman was one of the suburbs which was significantly impacted by these storms. Subsequent investigations have proposed remedial works designed to overcome the current deficiencies identified by these investigations that include the re-construction of the drain along Cooleman Ridge Reserve.
Community information sessions have been organised by TAMS for Tuesday 10 and Thursday 12 November at 6pm at the Chapman Primary School Hall, Perry Drive, Chapman. Full details of the project, proposed works and plans are available here.
