Inquiry into the management of ACT Cemeteries

The Weston Creek Community Council has lodged a Submission into the Inquiry into the management of ACT Cemeteries. Council supports another cemetery off Long Gully Road that includes burials and a crematorium. This is the location previously identified in 2010 as an area for a southside cemetery. Council does not support the expansion of Woden cemetery as the green space will be needed for the population expansion proposed for the Woden Town Centre and the areas immediately around this area.
