Lake Burley Griffin Guardians is hosting a public meeting at Hughes Community Centre, Hughes Shops Wednesday 27 July 6 – 7.30 pm.
The appropriation of Lake Burley Griffin’s public parks for commercial and residential development raises serious questions about government planning, community consultation and the protection of our Lake and its parklands. The purpose of the meeting is to expose concerns and issues to public scrutiny.
The meeting will have short presentations by experts and Government representatives followed by a session for questions, statements and motions for the ACT and Federal Governments. If you care about our lakeside parks and their future please come along and show your support.
