As you may recall, the ACT Government undertook a survey in 2023 inviting recognised ACT peak sport and recreation bodies, ACT district community councils and ACT Licensed Clubs to submit up to fifteen (15) priority infrastructure proposals for inclusion in a register of potential projects in the ACT.
In response to the Sport and Active Recreation Infrastructure Survey (the Survey), we received submissions from 54 eligible organisations and a total of 267 proposals.
Thank you for your response to the Survey, it has provided useful insight regarding the future facility priorities of your organisation.
A Proposal Register including all the proposals from eligible organisations has been developed together with a Listening Report which provides a high-level analysis of the responses received through the Survey.
The Proposal Register will assist the ACT Government to make future decisions in relation to sport and recreation infrastructure projects in the short to medium term.
It is important to note inclusion in the Proposal Register does not in any way represent or guarantee ACT Government funding support in the future. Any projects receiving funding in the future will need to be considered as part of an annual Budget process or via a funding application and any other circumstances at the time.
The Proposal Register and Listening Report can be viewed here – Sport and Active Recreation Infrastructure Survey – Sport and Recreation.
