Wetlands at Holder

As part of the ACT Healthy Waterways programme a wetlands has been designed for Holder between Dixon Drive and the Cotter Road. This is part of an initiative to improve long term water quality in the ACT and downstream into the Murrumbidgee.

We have been advised that the work will start with a perimeter fence being erected around the site. This scheduled to go up from 13 November 2017.

It is a large wetland so the aim is for work to be finished by October 2018. During the construction period work will generally occur Monday to Friday between 7am and 5pm.

The Weston Creek Community Council are excited about this proposed enhancement of an existing open space to add a further ‘ recreational ‘ facility to the existing one at Fetherston Gardens.
