New ACT Forests headquarters Construction is underway for the new headquarters of ACT Forest to replace buildings destroyed in the 2003 bushfires.
The headquarters are located on the northern side of the Cotter Road, to the west of Streeton Drive. The new headquarters are close to forest areas the agency manages which will enable staff to better carry out their land and fire management duties.
The office and vehicle sheds have been designed with their natural landscape setting in mind, and the Development Application process has passed with no appeals lodged.

The first stage of the construction process – new vehicle and storage garages – should be completed in May 2004. The second stage – the office building – should be completed in August 2004
