Keepin’ It Country: A Celebration of Music, Community, and Emerging Talent

The Weston Creek Community Council and Country Music Association Canberra invite you to experience the heart and soul of country music at Keepin’ It Country, a vibrant community event celebrating local talent and the spirit of country music.

Taking place on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Eastern Courtyard, Cooleman Court, this free-entry event features live performances, an open mic session, and community markets.

Music lovers can enjoy special performances by the Little Riverina Band and The Lovelies, while young musicians (ages 16-25) can showcase their skills in the
Musical Youth Round-Up, with exciting prizes to be won. Anyone who wants to sing Country, will be given the opportunity to participate, with the priority being for participants aged 16-25.

“Keepin’ It Country is more than just a music event—it’s about bringing generations together through a shared love of mainly country, but all music aswell,” said Jeremy Brown, representative of the Country Music Association Canberra. “We encourage everyone to come along, enjoy the entertainment, and support our emerging artists.”

This event is proudly supported by Cooleman Court, Songland Records, ACT Government, Tru Sound Music, and the Weston Creek Community Centre.
