The ACT Government has contracted Pyramid Corporation to carry out the second stage of the Fetherston Gardens watering system upgrade which will see an automated watering control system installed throughout the gardens.
This will mean construction works will be occurring in the gardens from the end of March until approximately the end of May, 2014. The gardens will not be completely closed to the public, but sections where work is taking place will be designated as construction sites and temporarily closed off.
Fetherston Gardens Friends will continue their regular working bees at the gardens during this period and volunteers are encouraged to attend on the second Wednesday and/or last Sunday of every month, as usual. Working bees start at 10am.
