At the past two public meetings of the Weston Creek Community Council, on 18 May and 29 June, questions were asked as to what was happening with the Edge Gym and the Indoor Cricket Centre.
The Deputy Chair of the Council stated at the last meeting, in response to the question to the guest speaker, Caroline Le Couteur, MLA, that he had spoken with proprietors of both of these venues during June and they had advised him that both had long – term leases with the owner. In their view there was no likelihood that the change of purpose lease would be implemented in the foreseeable future.
