ATO volunteers coming to help you this tax time

Tax Help is a free and confidential service to help people on a low income (around $60,000 or less) with simple tax affairs to complete their tax return online with myTax. It is available from July to October in all capital cities and many regional areas across Australia.

Are you on low income and need help to get your tax right? You may be eligible for Tax Help.

● Tax Help is a free and confidential service to help people on a low income (around $60,000 or less) with simple tax affairs to complete their tax return online with myTax.

● ATO trained community volunteers help you lodge your tax return via myTax, claim a refund of franking credits, or lodge an amendment. They can also help you claim any deductions and offsets you may be entitled to.

● Tax Help volunteers will check your return with you and help you get it right.

● Tax Help is available from July to October 2019, in all capital cities and many regional areas across Australia.

● To find out if you are eligible, call 132 861. If you are eligible, we will give you the contact details of the nearest Tax Help centre. For more information visit ato.gov.au/taxhelp

● Tax Help is available in languages other than English and some centres specialise in helping Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
